Out of the Blue was born in the quiet isolation of the COVID-19 lockdown, during a time of depression and searching. The art world—once my place of ambition and belonging—no longer gave me the answers I was seeking. I turned instead to God. What I discovered was humbling: I had been idolizing people and the idea of being accepted, when all along I was meant to place Him first.
It was in that surrender that clarity came. Blue became more than pigment—it became a reminder that the Holy Spirit was always with me. I began to see God not only in art, but in people, in objects, in the small details of life. Each restored piece became a personal revelation, a testimony in color, and a way of documenting the presence of grace during an uncertain time.
Out of the Blue is an durational exhibition—ongoing as long as it needs to be. Each piece will be accompanied by writings on our blog, where I will share the intimate stories and revelations behind the work. These reflections are deeply personal, but I know others will see themselves in them.
Next year, the exhibition will expand through collaborations and quarterly highlights, continuing to weave together restoration, testimony, and community. What began in isolation is now an open conversation about faith, resilience, and the beauty of seeing God in all things.
